Yojimbo (1961)

In a tumultuous town in late 19th-century Japan, a cunning ronin named Sanjuro Kuwabatake arrives, finding it divided by two ruthless gangsters: Ushitora and Seibei. He decides to play both sides against each other, initially posing as a bodyguard for each warlord. However, complications arise with the return of Unosuke, a dangerous gangster armed with a revolver. After facing brutal beatings and rescuing an abducted woman, Sanjuro's determination escalates.
