Evaristo, the janitor of a perfume factory, has been the victim of extortion for some time by the scoundrel Bienvenido, a friend of his who has never wanted to work and who makes him believe that his niece Jacinta is the poor janitor's daughter. But this situation becomes even more unsustainable when Jacinta falls in love with Gero, Evaristo's legitimate son.
