From the acclaimed Jean-Luc Godard, Masculine-Feminine delves into the concerns and contradictions of French youth in the 1960s. Jean-Pierre Léaud plays Paul, a young idealist who, in his quest for meaning, takes a job conducting surveys while also militating against the Vietnam War. He is in love with Madeleine, a young aspiring pop singer, who is solely focused on achieving success. Disillusioned by the growing superficiality of society, Paul begins to withdraw from those around him.
