The Christmas Tree (1966)

Gary and his sister and their very young brother set off to find a Christmas tree to brighten the children's ward of the hospital over the holiday season. A long but eventful search takes them on various forms of transport, plus much walking, and leads them through many incidents involving many fascinating people. Meanwhile, their parents and the police try to find them.
