The Gospel According to St. Matthew (1964)

This biblical drama presents Jesus as a Marxist avant-la-lettre, using much of Matthew’s Gospel. Teaching along the Sea of Galilee, he speaks in parables that challenge authority, drawing both disciples and opposition. As his radical message spreads, religious leaders conspire against him.
