The Servant (1963)

Based on the novel The Servant by Robin Maugham, the film, starring Dirk Bogarde and James Fox, explores the tensions between social classes. Tony, an aristocrat, hires the cunning and manipulative Barrett as his butler. He introduces his sister as a maid, setting off a psychological power play that culminates in a dangerous role reversal between master and servant.
