Contempt (1963)

Directed by Jean-Luc Godard and starring Brigitte Bardot and Michel Piccoli, the film follows Jeremy Prokosch, a producer who hires Fritz Lang to direct an adaptation of The Odyssey. Dissatisfied with the work, he hires screenwriter Paul Javal to rewrite the script. While Javal concentrates on his work, Camille begins to dislike him, believing that her husband is bringing her closer to the producer for his own benefit.
