"Yokmok" - a Polish psychological film from 1963 based on a story by Tadeusz Breza entitled Jokkmokk. The story of a former naval officer: who, seeking peace after the war, hides his past, which arouses distrust among the authorities; the true value of the hero is revealed when the breakwater under construction is threatened. The former captain of Zegluga Wielka, Klimecki, a prisoner of the Oflag, works in a small Baltic port, hiding his past and using a different name. The local authorities are distrustful of him, and he finds understanding only in the port captain, who appreciates him as a good specialist, and in the orphan Pietrek, with whom he lives in the destroyed sailing ship "Yokmok".
