The Love God? (1969)

The opening sequence includes a judge in a courtroom poring over a stack of girlie magazines, which of course feature scantily clad women in sexy and revealing, but not nude, poses. Such imagery is abundant in the film, no more revealing than a Benny Hill sketch, really.

The movie is pervaded by terminology dealing with sex. Such terms as "orgies," "lascivious," "perversion," "filth," "lechery," "debauchery," "depravity," "lust," "erotic," "pornography," "sexual degradation," etc. are thrown about as the main character is verbally attacked by his adversaries. Nudity and sex are discussed frequently throughout the film, but neither is actually shown on camera, except for representations in paintings and sculptures on some of the sets.

A woman schemes to trick a man into thinking he's lost his virginity.

The main character is interrupted by a knock at the door while he is standing on a chair with a noose around his neck, all set in a humorous vein.

A mobster punches another man and, in a humorous and slapstick type fashion, chokes him while beating the back of his head against the wall to force him to do something he doesn't want to do. There are other scenes of fisticuffs between male combatants but they are no more offensive than a typical Three Stooges scuffle.

A woman slaps a man across the face after he makes an off-camera pass at her. He later smacks the woman and knocks her to the ground when he gets jealous of another man.

A couple uses of "Hell", one "bastard". "Pussycat" is used a few times. Almost every scene talks about sex.

Liquor is consumed and a woman spikes a man's drink to knock him out.
