Storyline:  In pre-war Italy, a jealous father orders his infant son to be abandoned in the desert. The child, later named Oedipus, is rescued and raised by the King and Queen of Corinth. As he grows, Oedipus learns from an oracle that he is destined to kill his father and marry his mother. Fleeing Corinth to avoid his fate, he unknowingly sets the pieces in motion for his inevitable and eventful fate.
