To Sir, with Love (1967)

Mark Thackeray, an unemployed african-american engineer, gets a job as a teacher in a secondary school with highly troubled students from the outskirts of London. Although they mean no harm, they are rude and boorish, forcing the teacher to change his teaching methods. Starring Sidney Poitier, this dramatic film based on an autobiographical novel by E. R. Braithwaite, is absolutely moving and unforgettable to watch.
