Land and Freedom (1941)

This is black and white film focuses on the plight of the peons in Mexico in the late of 1800s and early 1900s. This film was part of a much larger Eisenstein project called Que Viva Mexico!. It would have been an episodic portrayal of Mexican culture and politics from pre-Conquest civilisation to the Mexican revolution.
