Save the Last Dance (2001)

Sara, a middle-class white girl living in Chicago, enrolls in a high school attended mostly by african american students. While there, she interacts with a world that is different from her own, not only racially but also culturally. She meets Derek, a boy who introduces her to the world of hip-hop.
