Sanai (1977)

Four parent-less girls Amita (Kajal), Kabita (Jhulan), Samita (Laila) and Namita (Sonali) stay with their uncle (Utpal Dutt) and his wife (Shobha Sen). Eldest Amita (Kajal) is a novelist and the other four are still students. Unknown and to her eventual disapprove the students are more interested in their boyfriends, some are desirable Pratap Roy (Dipankar) from rich background and also a renowned singer, and some aren't like Haradhan (Samit) - a photographer of neighbor-photo studio, in partnership with Hanumalya Patra (Anup). Not only these have their boyfriends but also back-bite their other sisters' affairs to the eldest. The main target is the youngest Namita (Sonali) with least desirable boyfriend. How to bring the eldest around? Why does she disapprove their sister's affair? Not too convincing story line, quite a few good actors were wasted.
