The Dawn of Victory (1971)

Crete, 1943. In an attempt to avert the plans of the Nazis and rid the island of the German invaders, Commander Nikitas, the patriotic son of a despicable collaborator, and his brave team of hand-picked commandos parachute into a remote mountainous region. To carry out their crucial, life-or-death mission, the saboteurs must join forces with the local Resistance movement, whose leader, Lefteris, Nikitas' rugged compatriot, is still holding a grudge against him for being in a relationship with Martha, the love of his life. Now, the nation counts on a handful of selfless men to stop the German Army, demanding the ultimate sacrifice. Will they live to fight another day and see the dawn of victory?
