The Anti-fascist (1972)

In World War II, with Greece suffering under the thumb of the Italian and German occupation forces, the small village of Pano Rachi experiences unprecedented peace, thanks to one man: the compassionate Italian commander Nicola Mancholini. However, not all villages are created equal. Meanwhile, the neighbouring community of Kato Rachi has to satisfy cold SS officer Max Himmler's every whim. But his volatile disposition is the least of the villagers' worries. As lovely Niki, Pano Rachi's patriotic teacher, keeps both men on their toes for months, the two military administrators jostle for position, risking the ceasefire. And with love getting in the way of harmony, war looms closer. For everyone's sake, will Niki choose her partner before it's too late?
