The Missions of California (1998)

the film retraces the steps of the legendary Father Junipero Serra and Father Fermin Lasuen as they established the elaborate chain of California Missions. As the film tours the histroical 21 missions it examine the history and events that made each and everyone a unique and dramatic drama and adventure. The resolve of the early Franciscan Padres to christianize the native Americans of 18th century California not only developed in to controversy, but resulted in the birth of some of America's greatest cities.
