By chance, Pyrus has found Gyldengrød's old laboratory, which has been locked for many years. When the National Archivist's son-in-law Krusø contracts a severe winter cold, Pyrus is inflamed by the desire to help and tries to cure Krusø with the help of an elixir from Gyldengrød's laboratory. The effect is catastrophic. Krusø shrinks to the size of a goblin and rummages around in the archive confused. Krusø comes into possession of the goblins' magic book, which enables him to conjure himself into various books. And the accidents fall on the country's prime minister, as Krusø tours telephone books, the overview of traffic planning in Copenhagen and, worst of all, the finance law itself. Pyrus is unhappy. For once he tried to do the right thing, and now everyone is just even madder at him than before. But how is he going to make it up again? He must accomplish something truly great.
