The Gypsy Girl of Athens (1922)

A graceful but capricious young American woman from Chicago arrives in Greece, accompanied by her wealthy businessman father to visit the Acropolis. Enchanted by the allure of the eternal ancient temples, the beautiful tourist decides to get married to a handsome Greek man, unbeknownst to her, however, that fate has other plans in store for her. As a result, by a tragic twist of fate, she gets separated from her father and ends up wandering the bustling Athenians streets as a love-smitten Romani woman, in search of Yar: the chief of the encampment, and her one true love. Will the lovers reunite?
