Patouchas (1972)

Growing up in the rugged mountains of Turkish-occupied Crete, Manolios, a carefree herder known as Patouchas, is only concerned with tending to his flock of sheep. However, when Manolios reluctantly leaves his sheep pen to visit his father in the village, a chance encounter with the fairest daughter of the community sparks a passionate romance that defies all odds. Now, love-struck Manolios cannot live without her. But can the young sweethearts' secret love affair thrive against the disapproval of Manolios' strict father and the oppression of the Turks?
