Bitter Life (1965)

Much to her surprise, Marina, a once-happy woman and now a depressed wheelchair user, learns that her childhood friend, Pavlos, the secret love of her life, has returned to Greece. Now a brilliant surgeon, Pavlos, after so many years of absence, wants to rekindle their relationship; however, sad-eyed Marina is still living in the past, haunted by the bad memories of her spiteful friend, Robert, and her horrible car accident.
