Sinners (1971)

Having pinned his hopes on his wealthy industrialist uncle, ambitious Yorgos moves to bustling Athens to make a fresh start. Instead, the idealistic young man from Thessaloniki soon finds himself lost in the busy but dream-crushing metropolis. And as Yorgos tries to make a quick buck, unemployment, temptation, and a ruthless drug-trafficking ring get in the way of his fervent aspirations. As a result, the defeated dreamer has no choice but to see that everything is for sale, including love. But now, there is no turning back. When despair and passion mix, can the hopeless urban sinners find a way out?
