Eastern Periphery (1979)

After landing a job as a chemical engineer, young Tasos Patidis sets foot in a small-scale, family-run cosmetics factory. And not knowing what to expect, Tasos soon realises that expectations and reality are two entirely different things. Then, without a second thought, Tasos quits his job, determined to climb the corporate ladder in a faceless multinational corporation. However, when his career path doesn't go as planned, Tasos is gradually integrated into the cruel, monolithic, and dream-crushing system, losing the only aspect of his personality he was proud of--his high standards of humanity and care.
