Open Sea (1954)

Beautiful but desperate Smaro, refusing to accept her cruel mariner father's decision to marry an almost twice-her-age man, the seemingly honest navigator, Captain Rafalias, summons up the courage to end her life. As fate would have it, Konstadis, the sole survivor of a fatal shipwreck, saves Smaro from certain death, and as one thing leads to another, the two perfect strangers fall madly in love.
