An Iranian woman named Raha (played by Shohreh Aghdashloo) forced to give up her job as an actress and flee her homeland after the Islamic takeover of the country. During the escape, she is separated from her husband and daughter, who are detained in Iran. RAHA is a film about breaking boundaries and about the struggle for freedom. Raha is a 1991 Danish produced short film directed by Farrokh Majidi following screenplay by Farrokh Majidi, Moddabber Kyan. Produced at the Film Workshop (Filmværkstedet) in Denmark. Prod. No. 1989012 Iranian-born director Farrokh Majidi made this almost feature-length short film together with a number of other exiled Iranians. The movie got an ordinary movie premiere and was seen by many. It was a good example of how difficult it was to define the concept of Danish film in the early nineties.
