An American Merchant Marine ship docks at Athens. The sex starved sailors are given 6 days shore leave. They jauntily set out together with some women. Most of the fellows try street or bar pick-ups. Some mention going to a well known house while others make elaborate plans about getting together with glamorous girls. In the latter group some do very well in unexpected ways, but others come up empty handed. Most of the picture concerns one of the sailors, Jim, who accidentally meets Tina, a Grecian beauty, and how they lose track of one another and are finally re-united. Also involved prominently are Tina's friend Aleka, a blond beauty, and Aleka's former boyfriend, Monk, a wrestler, who kidnaps her to his island castle when she refuses to see him any more. Others are Monk's lackey, Spyros; Madam Calypso, who runs a house of all Nations and all types; the girls who work for her; and the sailors and other men who patronize them. Jim and Tina who start off platonically, wind up in a torrid love affair. When the ships leaves Athens one feels that though many of the men have had exciting experiences which they won't readily forget, that only Jim will return and establish a permanent relationship with the girl he found and almost lost in beautiful Athens.
