The Worthless One (1956)

Struggling to eke out an existence, and to make ends meet, a sensible, hard-working young man has a chance encounter with a desperate woman who has run away from home. Contemplating death, the woman finally decides to listen to the advice of her saviour, and wipe the slate clean, and little by little, they fall in love. However, in everyone's eyes, he is a layabout. Is there a future for the worthless one?
