Young journalist-trainee Evgeniy Maslovskiy is sent to a seaport in order to learn his profession in practice and write a report about working on ships. At the suggestion of the deputy head of the port for personnel, Ayvazov, he is 'introduced' into the crew of the tugboat 'Cyclone' as a cook. Suddenly it turns out that the entire crew of the ship consists of girls.
