In the sequel to the mondo hit Anaconda, research traveler Rolf Blomberg ventures into the jungles of Brazil in search of the terrifying Xavante Indians. The Brazil expedition starts from the port city of Belém at the mouth of the Amazon River and continues inland. In the ghost town of Manaus, in the middle of the jungle, you visit the strange opera house (whose creation is depicted in Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo). On the river island of Bananal in the Rio Araguaya, you meet the Carajá Indian tribe and experience their everyday life with archery hunting, fishing and festive dance rituals. At Rio das Mortes in Mato Grosso you win the friendship of the fearsome Xavante Indians. After a visit to art-rich Rio de Janeiro, the expedition continues to the Atlantic coast and Portaleza, whose fishing population still uses a primitive fishing raft, the "jangada", for their long and dangerous fishing trips at sea.
