In the decaying halls of an old mansion, five women, entangled in frustration and bitterness, orbit around the absence of a man. As they find themselves in a sinister hell while trying to move on with their lives, their existence crumbles in the endless fight for an indifferent figure. With masterful performances unfolding over the tango melodies of Astor Piazzolla, it was directed by Vlasta Lah, a pioneer in Argentina's history, becoming the only woman filmmaker in Latin America during the tumultuous 1960s.
