Jarcin profesor (1937)

Karel Strzicky, an Art School graduate, earns extra money in the summer working for landowner Drahan as a day laborer. Jarca, Drahan's daughter, spends her vacation with her parents, and her father is very worried about her. She is a poor student flunking German. However, help is on the way - Karel will tutor her. The mischievous Jarca considers him an ordinary coachman, so he initially turns her nose up at him. However, the cultured young man manages to gain her trust and heart. But he has rivals in the fight for the girl's favor, who in the hopes of breaking them apart, immediately divulge an ugly slander: Karel is said to be a former convict.
