The Most Beautiful Life (1956)

Jean and his wife Anne-Marie arrive in Africa,with their one-year -old child.A teacher, Jean is in charge of opening a school in the heart of the bush.Anne-Marie helps him in his hard task.But the death of the child in a storm breaks up the couple.A sick Anne-Marie is sent to a hospital on the coast where she meets an old acquaintance, Yves ,a young engineer ,with whom she falls in love.In the meantime,her husband carries on with his difficult work .The natives become friends with the courageous teacher and try to bring his wife back to him.
