Storyline:  On the Princes' Islands, painter Halil becomes captivated by a woman’s photograph while working in a villa. When he later meets Meral, their feelings grow but are hindered by class differences and Halil’s insecurity. She becomes engaged to wealthy Basar, yet ultimately returns to Halil. Their reunion ends tragically when Basar confronts them.
