The Hockey Players (1965)

The captain of the "Rocket" ice hockey team Anatoliy Duganov, a famous and experienced player, decides to fight for the sporting longevity of such "old people" as he is trying to prove that it is too early for him to retire. But in sports, including hockey, a certain stereotype has long been formed: at 16, a player is considered still a junior, at 18 as a young player in an adult team, and at 25 as a veteran.
