Mr. Racek Is Late (1950)

Baker Jan Racek (Vladimír Repa) is a very hard-working and sensible man. His great passion is pigeon-keeping--and also, for many years, Ruzenka (Ludmila Vostrcilová). They are planning to get married, but Racek is so busy waiting for the pigeons' return that he misses the wedding. The couple are getting no younger, so the otherwise gentle Ruzenka becomes angry about this and gives Racek an ultimatum: it will be her or those pigeons.
