Prakovszky, a siket kovács (1963)

Pali is a 17-year-old young student who spends summers with his grandparents in the countryside. His favorite day is Saturday when he and his granddad go to church where he can see his unrequited love, the beautiful Piroska. She is 3 years ahead of him and secretly in love with the son of the deaf blacksmith. When Pali confronted with the uselessness of his love, writes a letter to the young officer on behalf of the girl out of revenge, which act will have tragic consequences.
