De ydmygede (1998)

A portrait of Lars von Trier and his working method, which closely follows the making of the dogma film The Idiots. Lars von Trier is famous for complete stagings, not least of himself. And notorious for his temperamental relationship with the actors, whom he alternately loves and loathes. The director Jesper Jargil documents a vulnerable and conflicted creation process, which Trier himself called "... a whipped emotional state that is the very technique of the film."
