Smitten by a cruel and incurable disease, Katerina, the otherwise lively but spoiled daughter of an affluent architect, seeks refuge in ephemeral romantic liaisons. However, even though many ambitious young suitors would love to claim her impenetrable heart, none has managed, so far, to decipher Katerina's inexplicable behaviour, or her ulterior motives.
