Irrungen - Wirrungen (1966)

During a summer in Berlin in the 1870s, the simple bourgeois girl Lene and the young lieutenant Rienäcker meet and fall in love. But Rienäcker soon runs into financial difficulties when he's trying to keep up with his extensive and expensive way of life. Lene, who knew that her happiness could never be permanent, can't be found.
