The Cigarette (1919)

After her husband sees a young acquaintance flirting with his young wife, he suspects her of having an affair with him. To confirm this, he follows her one day and observes her answering the door to an unknown apartment and letting the young man inside.

Cigarettes and smoking them feature heavily in the plot of this film. Several characters, in particular the lead male, smoke throughout.
