A Força do Xangô (1977)

Tonho Tiê likes to live free, play capoeira and drink. During Carnival he meets Zulmira, and on Ash Wednesday, they swear their love. Zulmira, cannot stand Tonho Tiê's infidelities, and her mother-in-law invokes an Afro-Brazilian deity, in the form of a woman, to make Tonho suffer and atone for his sins.
