Hydra, Greece. To create a bright future for himself and provide for his family, humble fisherman Zafiris leaves his island to try his luck at singing in Athens. However, as Zafiris becomes an overnight sensation and makes a name for himself, he attracts unwanted attention. Before long, scandalous libels damage the singer's hard-earned reputation, and it seems haughty editor-in-chief Renata, the captivating daughter of an influential newspaper mogul, is behind them.
