Soccer Heroes (1987)

In the late Qing Dynasty, when the European football team Pirates came to China, they played a game with the embassy team, attracting a large number of people and officials to watch. After the pirate team won, captain Harry, in order to win over his girlfriend Jenny's smile, forcefully kicked the ball at the onlookers and officials. Just as a crowd of foreigners laughed loudly, a big man sprang up from the crowd and repaid Harry with his superb football skills. Seeing this, Jenny instigated Harry to challenge the Chinese side, and a major football match between China and foreign countries was imminent. The big man Zhou Tian was a progressive young man who once studied at Oxford University. He was well aware of the gap between Chinese and foreign football levels, and it was difficult to breathe a sigh of relief for the Chinese people alone. Therefore, Zhou embarked on the road of visiting folk ball players and adding glory to the country.
