Ray (2004)

This biographical drama recounts the rise to fame of legendary musician Ray Charles, from his impoverished childhood and struggle with blindness to becoming one of the most influential figures on the music scene. While he could fuse jazz, rhythm & blues, rock & roll, gospel and country, he also dealt with drug addiction and childhood traumas. The film highlights his timeless hits, played by Jamie Foxx, who took home every award in existence including the Oscar for best actor.
