Dilemma (1940)

The gynecologist Paul Ferrat founder of a home for children of single mothers and is an avowed opponent of abortion. But then his 17-year-old daughter Edith is dragged into a nightclub by the unscrupulous seducer Sternen, made drunk and abused. When Ferrat discovers that Edith is unwittingly pregnant, he wants to deny her an abortion, but she threatens to go to an angel maker. In order to prevent worse things from happening, Ferrat carries out the intervention itself - with fatal consequences.
