Mother's Field (1993)

Ik-sang is arrested at his sister's wedding for his involvment with the activities of the Korean Independence Movement. After 10 years, he is released from prison and moves to Shanghai to avoid persecution by the Japanese colonial government. He is joined by his sister and her husband, Yeong-cheol. When the Korean war breaks out, Ik-sang joins the northern army and Yeong-cheol and his children join the southern forces.
