Based on the eponymous novel by Laura Conti, the film tells the dramatic story of the Seveso disaster that occurred on July 10th, 1976, in the ICMESA company in Meda, which caused the leakage and dispersion of a cloud of dioxin, an extremely toxic artificial substance. The poison affected a vast area of land in neighboring municipalities.
