Ifugao (1954)

Ifugao tells about the conflict between the mountain ethnic tribal warriors and the American colonizers during the early years of the US regime. It was the first film to focus on the lifestyle of the Ifugao mountain tribe of the Cordillera mountain region of the Philippines with authenticity. The film uses the picturesque locale of the Ifugao rice terraces in Banaue (called the Eight Wonder of the World) to full advantage.
