Trevogi pervykh ptits (1986)

1944. Sergeant Vasiliy Kalina, demobilized due to injury, returns to his native village. But he doesn't find the village: while retreating, the Germans burned all the houses and mined the fields. The restoration of the economy is being led by the former commander of the partisan detachment operating here, Grigoriy Gorovoy. He appoints Vasiliy chairman of the collective farm. Soon Kalina learns that Klavdiya, whom he loved before the war, considering him dead, married Gorovoy. The situation becomes a test for all three.
