Revanche (1983)

During a hot summer somewhere in the early-1980s Athenian urban jungle, the troubled and rebellious thirtysomething, Yannis, decides to re-evaluate his life after a big earthquake. Deprived of his father's affection, now Yannis finds refuge in the fictional world of cinema, re-enacting scenes from his favourite movies. On the verge of a mental breakdown, the insecure and impulsive film buff will finally summon up the courage to pursue Eva, who is in a long-term relationship with his best friend, Yorgos. Now, before an emotional tug-of-war--while suffering under the burden of overflowing rivalry and jealousy--the unconventional coexistence in the form of a difficult love triangle seems the only way out. Inevitably, their well-kept secrets threaten the already fragile balance of things, as this impossible relationship demands a bold solution. Will the unbearably lingering identity crisis consume them?
